Horse racing & greyhounds
Racing sits next to combat sports in the single-outcome family, but with a field of runners instead of two corners. Its own terms decide what a bet pays.
Each-way is two bets, win and place, which doubles the stake. Place terms, starting price, ante-post prices, non-runners and the Rule 4 deduction complete the list, along with odds, tips and predictions for horses and greyhounds.
For tax, remote bets on UK horse racing stay at 15% when the remote betting rate rises from 15% to 25% on 1 April 2027. Pool betting has its own duty, also 15%.
